For Teens and Youth
Middle School
DISCOVERING & DEVELOPING
A space for young people to explore their interests, discover their strengths and develop a growing sense of who they are.
Through passion-led projects, hands-on experiences and relationships with peers and coaches, they learn to take initiative, navigate challenges, collaborate, experiment and express themselves.
The emphasis is on exploration, self-discovery and developing the confidence and agency to pursue what matters to them.
Forest School College
DEEPENING & CONTRIBUTING
A space for young people to take greater ownership of their learning, pursue deeper interests and discover how their abilities and passions can contribute beyond themselves.
With greater independence and opportunities for real-world engagement, they may develop substantial projects, collaborate across age groups, take on responsibilities, serve the community and explore possible pathways into adulthood.
Our emphasis is on nurturing agency and continuing to support the growth of the whole person in meaningful ways. As they grow, the ability to contribute meaningfully and make a difference in the world around them becomes a natural expression of who they are, rather than an outcome we set out to produce.

Nurturing the Whole Person
Through passion-led projects, real experiences and supportive relationships, we nurture the whole person, not just the skills they acquire or the outcomes they produce.
We want to be quite frank about something: we don't set out to produce impressive projects, build portfolios or work towards predetermined milestones. In fact, we believe that placing too much attention on these things can take away from the very creativity, initiative and personal growth we hope to nurture.
Our starting point is always the young person.
What catches their attention? What excites them? What do they feel drawn to explore, make, question or try next? We pay attention, create space and provide support, allowing their interests and ideas to take shape organically.
And time and again, they surprise us.
A teen might take an idea somewhere none of us anticipated. They intuitively bring together skills, knowledge and abilities in ways that are entirely their own. Something that began simply as an expression of their interests might grow into an elaborate creation, a meaningful collaboration or an undertaking that reveals a side of them we had never seen before.
We never set out to make these things for a practical purpose. Yet, when life later calls for them, these experiences and creations may find their way into portfolios, applications and opportunities that open new doors.
We see these as wonderful bonuses, not the destination.
Because our work is not about shaping teens into what we think they should become. It is about nurturing the person who is becoming.
And that person is still unfolding. We cannot possibly predict all that they might discover, create or grow into.
So, if you join us, come with an open mind. Be ready for surprises. We certainly are.
A possible journey of discovery, development and creation
There is no fixed formula for how an idea takes shape. But when a young person's interest catches fire, a journey might unfold in ways such as these:
1. Discover
What catches my attention? What am I curious about? What would I like to explore, experience or try?
2. Explore & Develop
Follow an emerging interest. Research, experiment, play, acquire new skills, collaborate, encounter challenges and see where the exploration leads.
3. Create & Express
An idea might take shape in many different ways. It could become a product, performance, game, service, investigation, portfolio or simply an experience worth having. It might also evolve into something entirely unexpected.
4. Share & Reflect
Choose whether, how and with whom to share what has emerged. Reflect on the experience, what has been discovered, how one has grown and what might spark the next exploration.
These are not stages every young person must complete, nor do they necessarily happen in sequence. Some ideas take months to develop, others change direction, and some lead somewhere nobody anticipated. That is part of the journey.
Every Passion Has Room to Grow
Our teens have explored an incredible range of interests and pursuits.
From carving, tool-making and forest skills projects to public speaking, childminding and many other self-initiated pursuits, each project reflects something meaningful to the young person behind it.
There is no single definition of an impressive project. What matters is the curiosity, commitment, learning and growth that go into it.
We are incredibly proud of every one of our teens and the journeys they have taken!
Growing Together
We believe young people benefit tremendously from learning alongside one another.
Working in groups offers opportunities to exchange ideas, encourage one another, collaborate, share skills and discover perspectives beyond their own.
Some projects are pursued independently, while others naturally grow through shared interests and collaboration.
Have a friend who would love this journey too? Come and explore together!
We warmly encourage friends to enrol together and become part of our teen and youth community.
