Our learners enjoy making bird nests and even bird swings, as well as blankets, beds, and pillows. This is especially true in cold weather. Our students would be dressed in raincoats and running from tree to tree, gathering natural materials from the ground such as sticks, leaves, flowers, hay, and grass, to build nests to keep birds warm. Conversations begin, bonds are built and heart-warming tales are born.
