Also known as the Nurturing Pathways: Assistant Forest School Coach Course, this immersive starter course by Nature Den is designed to empower families and educators to foster growth, connection, and resilience through nature-based approaches. Whether you aspire to become a forest school practitioner and build a solid foundation in guiding and nurturing children through nature-based experiences, or do-it-yourself as a parent, this course is for you!

In this course, you will:

  • Explore Core Practices in Nature Den: Master key techniques that blend forest school principles, therapeutic approaches, and humanistic psychology.

  • Build Practical Skills: Develop essential skills to effectively support children’s self-esteem, growth, motivation, and engagement in natural settings.

  • Foster Emotional and Mindful Connections: Learn practices that promote emotional well-being, mindfulness, and meaningful interactions with children in nature.

  • Yes, the course includes an in-person training component that is optional and which allows you to practice the skills you've learned in a supportive environment. This hands-on experience enhances your learning journey.

  • After successfully completing the course, you'll be eligible to apply for approval as an Assistant Coach within the Nature Den network. As an approved coach, you can promote your services on our website, ask for advice from peers and the team, and benefit from opportunities to attend on-going physical training sessions.
